Have you heard about
Rivit Media? I'm thinking about joining up with it, but they want me to fill out a W-9 tax form. That gives me pause because I am wary of putting any of my personal data out online. With Google AdSense, I didn't have to give them my SS#. . . . but I'd like to make more than $0.01 a day.
I'm making this post to ask if any of you have had any dealings with Rivit Media. I've done my own research through various channels, but would really like to hear a testimony from a
real person. Any info is greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
My cousin uses them and has been happy from what I remember but I'll let someone who has real experience chime in. I'm curious too.
ReplyDeleteI have been with Rivit Media for a while and I am really happy with them. They have great people to work with and they work hard to provide great campaigns to run. I have a pretty small blog, so I don't make a ton of money, but every bit helps.
ReplyDeletexoxo,
Amy
I also just got invited to join them, can't decide though as I have never had ad's on my blog before.
ReplyDeleteI hope it works out for you.
Hey! I am thinking of joining with them too. Did you join? How do you like it?
ReplyDeleteHi, I am the Director of Ad Sales for Rivit Media and we just inked a huge buy with Elmer's, and we have had Michaels, Joanne's and Hobby Lobby in 2011. If you want to make more than Google, get in touch with Stacy, our publisher rep: stacy@rivitmedia.com and yes, we are legit. That is why we need your tax information.
ReplyDeleteCheers,
Karen
Hi, did you ever join Rivit? I’ve been invited to join them, but the thought of revealing my SS# is more than a little scary.
ReplyDeleteI still haven't joined Rivit. I do Clever Girls, Social Spark, and Google Adsense. I'm really hoping to find someone who has signed up who can tell me about it. Until I get a few personal endorsements, I'm going to stay away. Right now, I'm certain Rivit is "legit", but whether or not it is worth the trouble....I've yet to see.
DeleteI just signed up and it seems promising. If you want to make a business out of your blog, you'll need to supply a SSN or some sort of tax ID so that you can pay proper taxes on the money you've earned. It's so *you* are legit.
ReplyDeleteI'm pretty sure you can fax them your w-9 as opposed to emailing or filling out a form field.
DeleteYes, Sheena is correct. I have Rivit Media on my blog and it seems they pay about the same amount as Google Ad Sense, maybe a little less. It's hard to track. But they ask for a W9 so you are getting paid legally - it's a good thing, I promise! mymerrymessylife.com
DeleteI was just wondering this myself, googled it, and ended up at your blog-- I should have known you'd have all the answers!
